KVS Puts Fraud Detection Under the Microscope at NYS GFOA Conference
Session Examines Available Technology for Fraud Prevention
Amherst, NY - March 2, 2009
- "Using Technology to Detect and Deter Fraud" will be the topic of a
presentation in April by KVS President Ed Warnke. Warnke will address New York State municipal finance officers at the NYS Government Finance Officers Association Annual Conference in Albany.
The session runs from 3:10 PM to 4 PM April 2 at the Albany Marriott Hotel. A number of "detective" technologies on the market will be reviewed in regard to how they can be run against computer files, such as those for payables and for vendors, to identify potential fraud and loss before it becomes a problem.
