KVS Named Among Best
Places to Work in WNY for Third Year
Right Combination of Work Ethic and Fun Make it a Great Place to Work

For the third year in a row, KVS Information Systems, Inc., has been named as
one of the "Best Places to Work in Western New York" by Business First
newspaper.
At an award ceremony Tuesday at
the Hyatt Regency in downtown Buffalo, KVS was cited as a
finalist in the small size category, which includes companies
employing between 21 and 50 people. The company was one of
26 in this category to make it through the qualifying process,
which measures the percentage of employee participation in an
online survey.
A statistically significant
percentage of employees at KVS completed the surveys.
Questions related to individual contribution, team and manager
effectiveness, retention risk, trust in senior leaders and with
co-workers, alignment with goals, and work engagement.
Each employee was given a code to assure anonymity while
completing the survey via the Internet, thus allowing them to be
completely upfront.
Positive employee comments
about KVS were published in Business First's Best Places to
Work in Western New York issue dated March 30. One
person wrote, "I can think of nothing negative about this
company and look forward to being a part of it for years to
come." Another wrote, "There is a strong sense of work
ethic and management does not forget to have fun." An
example of a positive practice in the workplace which was quoted
in the issue was that KVS holds monthly theme days to boost
morale, such as a summer cookout and a Halloween costume
contest.
Quantum Market Research of
Wichita, Kansas, administers the survey, which has employees
identify the companies that succeed in retaining and recruiting
good people and making them feel engaged in their work.
More than 120 companies accepted Business First's initial
invitation to participate in the survey, and 76 made it through
to be named Best Places to Work in Western New York.
Currently, KVS has 48
employees, with 14 of them having been employed there for 10
years or more.
