PA Department of General Services Awards State
Software Contract to KVS
Simplifies Software Purchases For Pennsylvania Public Agencies
Williamsville, NY-
March 24, 2006 -
The Pennsylvania Department of General Services (DGS) recently awarded a state
contract to KVS Information Systems, Inc., making it much easier for
municipalities and other public agencies throughout the state to purchase the
company’s government software.
Over 3,000 local public procurement units across Pennsylvania are currently
members of the DGS “COSTARS” program, which stands for Cooperative Sourcing to
Achieve Reductions in Spending. COSTARS members save time and money by
purchasing supplies directly from companies awarded the contract, while
non-members are required to bid for proposals from multiple vendors and evaluate
submissions.
KVS is one of only a few software vendors recently awarded the four-year
contract. “This is another example of KVS’s commitment to become a leader in
government solutions in Pennsylvania,” said KVS President Ed Warnke. “KVS is now
positioned to streamline the procurement of its Enterprise Financial Management
system as well as other software solutions,” he added.
KVS Information Systems, Inc., a leading provider of municipal software
solutions since 1969, is headquartered in Williamsville, NY, with a regional
office in Ohio. For more information, please visit KVS online at
