Class Descriptions

Bring your favorite features to share in this interactive session where Ed Warnke will review the most favorite features of the KVS System. Included in the features are ways to increase efficiency and go green while at the same time utilizing the basic features of Enterprise and Payroll in conjunction with today’s technology.  

This session will discuss system administration procedures for clients using Enterprise. Topics will include proper backup and restore procedures, installing KVS updates and patches, verifying the current software level, printing issues, and a review of required supporting products such as IIS, Internet Explorer, and Adobe Acrobat Reader. Additionally, document attachment procedures will be discussed.

Enhancement reviews are 3-part workshops to include a review of completed enhancements, questions and specific procedural items from regional conferences, and discussion of suggested and planned enhancements. We’ll also be reviewing some tips and tricks that you may not know about. 

This session will review what data should be backed up and when, what software products are available, where to turn for assistance and off-site storage options.

This session will introduce you to the upcoming release of Microsoft Windows 7. The discussion will include a brief overview of new features, major changes and enhancements, system requirements, new version feature list, and upgrade options

If you’re new to the world of Enterprise, join us as we venture through navigating this new world. Encounter all the standards including toolbars, searching, documentation, use of tabs, etc. This journey will enable the rest of the training to be smooth sailing. If you’re familiar with Enterprise, this may still give you a few new turns.

MuniTrax provides Receiver/Clerk Offices with a turn-key solution that provides for the searching, viewing and printing of real property tax bills and the payment of the relevant taxes via the internet using both credit cards (MasterCard, Visa, American Express, Discover) and electronic checks (ACH). The MuniTrax system, which is already deployed in a number of municipalities in NY (including the villages of Valley Stream and Farmingdale), CT and NJ, consists of a secure website allowing citizens to view/print and pay their real property tax bills online. The system also allows the taxpayer to view their tax bill payment status information with current and historical data.

This session will focus on the various options available in User Security, Group Security, Municipal Workflow and approval and the newest KVS Module – Group Workflow Processing. Whether you are a current user or anticipating conversion, this session will provide options to consider. 

Managing the Process of Municipal Billing – towns and cities across America are looking for ways to be more efficient with their billing systems for property taxes, personal property taxes, sewer, trash and utilities. MA&A will explain their services and provide some helpful considerations to reduce the workload and expenses.  

Join us for the first hands-on training sessions of the Enterprise Centralized Collection Phase I modules. Tell us what you think and leave us with any other enhancements or suggestions you have.

This training session will cover the basic functionality, setup and maintenance of the Personnel side of the KVS Payroll & Personnel system. Human Resource Tracking, User Defined Fields, Benefit Time, Attendance and Employee Benefits Paid Tracking headline the list. Position Control and Payroll Projection will also be reviewed. 

This workshop will review check fraud trends and statistics, provide an overview of AP Technology fraud prevention solutions, and describe the productivity and security features of the SecureCheck MICR laser check printing solution.

Do you have this system but haven’t yet received training? This training session will cover the basic functionality, setup and maintenance of Budget Preparation. Learn how to add detail and memos to your budgets to provide a more complete information packet. 

ExecuTime is an Enterprise Time and Attendance solution that integrates with the KVS Payroll application. This session will outline how ExecuTime allows users to electronically clock in/out, track work orders and jobs, perform benefit hours inquiries, enter electronic time-off requests, use a scheduling calendar, track exempt employee time and much more. 

Do you have this system but haven’t yet received training? This training session will cover the basic functionality, setup and maintenance of General Receipts.  

Executive Dashboards are an exciting new concept in delivering critical KVS application information to non-KVS users. This product is simple to use and deploy and can be hosted internally on your network or published to your municipal website. This session will start with a product demonstration followed by a discussion which will highlight features, functionality, and implementation of an Executive Dashboard in your environment. 

In addition to reviewing the enhancements of the Enterprise General Ledger, we give special focus to reporting including the availability of multi-year tracking within your general ledger. This session will include detailed review and options for setting up grants, capital projects and escrow accounts. We will also review File Export options including the New York State AUD file. 

Do you have this system but haven’t yet received training? This training session will cover the basic functionality, setup and maintenance of Citizen Response Manager and the optional Work Order interface.  

Cyberquery classes will be customized to fit your needs. A schedule will be available at the registration table to sign-up for a one-on-one with Support. If you know your desired schedule time prior to the conference, give us a call and we’ll schedule you in.
